IF I remember it's H=1-1/4 L=1-3/8 turns from closed, and the idle screw set at 1mm open

i just go 1-1/4 accross the board and adjust from there, but thats what works for me

I have a 30.5 I used the settings and flooded bad. Dripping air filter and all. Maybe I have a bad carb. It's 5 days old.:mad:

standard zenoah carb settings,
could be just that the clone carb is not machined with the tolerances of the walbro,
those are basic starting point settings,it's up to the user to be able to determine how much to adjust,if these settings made your carb flood you should of leaned it up and been able to set the starting point of the carb for referrence.

6) CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT
The carburetor comes with a standard setting, it is for
optimum performance under the barometric pressure and
climatic conditions at factory, so it may be re-adjusted
according to load applied.
Idle rpm : 4000 ± 300 rpm (STD Spring)
H needle : 1 1/8 ± 1/4
L needle : 1 1/4 ± 1/4

Do you think I should buy a walboro carb? Is it less finicky and better quality for a longer life?

all depends, some times walbros have different settings also,
getting a better carb then a clone is always a plus, if you can get one say 668/813/990 either one should be a better outcome then a clone
