Hi all how can u tell if ur engine has been race ported?? Is there any teltail signs just by looking at it??

look inside the cylinder for grinding marks in the transfers, the edges should be smoothed out and the centre fin slimmed down,also you should see some machining evidence in the sides and top off the exhaust and intake ports opening up more toward the cylinder wall....also you may see eyebrows that are ground out on the intake side transfers ...

hard to explain, take some pics and post them.
alot of engine builders will also engrave rp or f.mod somewhere on the crankcases
