I sharpened my mower blade, changed my mower oil, fired up the weed eater, and checked both plugs on saturday. Ive always run my weed eater on fuel/oil mixture of 40:1 as recommended on the oil mixture bottle and it has usually been hard to start. It has only been used maybe 20 times so it still pretty new. Saturday I didnt have any fuel to put in the weed eater so I grabbed some 25:1 Rampage fuel and it fired right up! It purred like never before too! I think Im going to run my rc fuel mixture through it from now on. What mixtures do you guys run through your weed eaters?
 
I worked at Ryobi for 2 years as their Engine Assembly Engineer. I did all the tooling and fixtures to put the engine together and into the test booth.


I would run 25:1 and hope you make it to 100 hours.
 
im sure this has been anwsered but whats the deal with the sticker on my hy engine?25% oil 75% fuel. misprint? cause i been runnin 25:1 evolution synth. 4:1 would smoke like hell.

40:1 in my weed whacker. never had a problem and its like 6 years old. you must be tryin to run 100 octane in that sucker. :eek:
