40 Series?

40 series haven't been the best choice for 25+lb vehicles.


They work well on 12-15lb high power brushless vehicles 1/8 and 1/5.


Would they work on the the xbe?


Think the xbe could get under 18lbs w/batts and the 40 series installed?


40 series trenchers are pretty much 1/5 trenchers and very light compared to other 1/5 tires.

i would say no. they are glue on. i have to reglue my 40s on my tmaxx from time to time. if they were on a bigger truck i think it would be even worse.

I think they might only because the rpm still won't be as high

And all the X series tires are glued as well, no bead locks.

So glue on works w/a 15 pounder but not a sub 20 maybe even an 18? There are 40 series beadlock as well so if glue is the only prob thats taken care of. Im sure beadlock tires could be found.


I had 40 series beadlocks that worked on HPI.

I have've blown a glue on tire on my HSP XB yet. I have blown a few dozon beadlocks off my 5B though.

Ok Ive read the stockers are glue on. If that info is right I guess the best bet is to use them up to see how the stockers hold up.
