48t steel spur gear meshing problem

Hello!
I update my mt with alloy motor mount, alloy gear plate and steel spur gear.
All parts are from rc-car-online so everythings is original.
Motor mounts and gear plate fits perfectly.
The problem is with the spur gear... it seems to be too much play between it and standard 16t clutch pinion.
Unfortunately there is no way to correct.
Has anyone faced the same issue?

Not sure what to say on that. Have you counted the teeth to make sure they are what they say they are? Pics may help
