Been out bashing again this afternoon and my 4wd bug seemed slow and unresponsive compared to the last outing. Anyway couldnt see anything obvious so carried on as you do and the drive to the rear wheels has gone. The front end is fine so Im thinking diff rather than drive belt. The ring gear is mated to the belt pulley so cant be that or the front end would be out as well and same goes for layshaft gear or there would be no drive at all. Its all enclosed to protect the belt so looks like a back end strip down to see what is going on in there. Its the new diff at the back so if that has gone I will be on to Rossmods about it!!

Will hopefully strip it tonight so will get some pics posted.

That was a quick fix!!!! Feckin wheel square had come loose on 1 side - I love easy fixes and free 1's are few & far between!!

Happy days & still time for another bash before the rain comes tomorrow :D

Only 1 wheel square to come loose out of a full build will do for me!!

so a bit like mine then mate lol,i was just wondering as the touring car shells that in real life are front wheel drive but 1/5 scale there all rwd which is so wrong

It might be ok if I weld the back shocks up to stop it squatting under acceleration!! It would understeer like a female dog as well :D

I went to a bash with my mate, he has a ftx punisher Wwith oddi heli engine 26cc. his became front wheeldrive at mansfield dessert,it was revving to the moon but hardly moving like a high powered fwd 1.1 car with no trick diff. What surface was on?

On grass mate. Like you say it hardly moves just flings shite everywhere!!

If you could get the power down without the wheels spinning it would make for some interesting driving...

as you say stiffen up the rear and soften the front ...it may help traction but it plays havoc with the handling in the corners...lol

or tighten the grub screws up and blast about with 4wd...lol
