Recently got a 5ive T and interested in more power. What aftermarket engine should I get?

Looking for reliability and fun. I will use it on dirt, grass, and pavement.

Also, anyone have a complete list of items that need upgrading to handle the extra power?

I would like to keep total cost under $1,000.

The options available are overwhelming and it is tough to know where to begin.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Revolauncher. I am leaning towards an aftermarket replacement engine (I just edited my post to clarify).

What are the pro and cons of a reed motor?

I am thinking about this one:

Oneill Brothers - 6274 - 7.5hp CNC Ported Full Mod Zenoah 30.5cc 4 Bolt LOSI/4WD Engine - Billet Crankcase

Cost: $494

Do I need drivetrain upgrades to handle it? Do I need to change the clutch or gears?

Drivetrain, no. Clutch, no. Maybe a turtle HD clutch carrier will be a good idea. If you spin out the tall stock gearing, you'll be in the 50mph range, so on the verge of disaster. I'd bolt it all up before re-gearing.....BTW that engine is a fine mill......

So what speeds do the guys with 62cc or 70cc engines hit? Those look hard to drive and must go through a lot of parts!

I added this:

If you want monster, uncontrollable power look at reed motors. I wanted reliable power well above the stock levels and this got it done for me. Does donuts on the pavement now, and revs out the stock tall gearing in a hurry.

What big bore kit did you go with and is it necessary to have if I want to run the carb? I'm not really wanting to upgrade the engine too much because I'll be going with a larger one as soon as this is tired...just wanting more power until then (I have losi pipe and outerwears on everything for now....haven't even fired the engine yet, lol)
