Just had all the alloy back from the anodisers.
Everything in cobalt blue and it looks awesome.
Will start posting pictures of the build tomorrow. Just built the hubs now.
 
Half way through re- build
Full carbon and anodised cobalt blue alloy, yummy even if I say so myself
Pictures coming soon.
Kept some of the plastic parts just for contrast and flexability.
Want to build a full on racer next, but gonna have to sell a few
Have any of you guys seen the Nascar body on the DDM website
Looks kinda cool, not sure how an off roader would go with a car body on it.

As with my other post on my MCD any interest and I will post all or most of the pictures, as you can see the first few are all the bits back from anodising.
Any comments are welcome but I love the colour this time..
Need a bigger bench me thinks ;);)
 
Al, thanks is the question mark after plastic arms a question or a comment
If it is a question they are RPM plastic ones
Also I know what you mean about the blue have not put all items on instead put some of the plastic bits back on like the side body carriers
I think the overall finish should be ok.

What about the wheel choice
 
RPM is tough stuff, and good for bashing so I understand the use, but there again, I wouldn't anodise / spend $$$$$$$$ if I was going to scrape it off within a month !!
I select the RHS wheel - contrast.

defo the RH wheel.
 
I likey, i'd go with the thinner beads with the wheels, is this going to be a shelfer as i'd change that filter if its to be run. :cool::cool:

I bought it second hand but never run and it was covered in chrome bits, sold the lot
Do not really like chrome
Think all matt black might be nice

Blue is a funny colour for photographs. Some cameras are designed to enhance it to make blue skies or beach shots look more appealing. I reckon it will look good in the flesh :cool2:
