Looks like vertigo performance has them on there web site. I got mine from Detroit Performance, there usually pretty quick on restocking

I'm gonna try out the Taylor clutch plate fan. Does anyone have experience with this? good or bad? I'm not sure that its actually required considering how "open" the clutch and bell housings are on this Taylor 35. let me know your thoughts...

Seems like only the retailers themselves would really know the answer to that question. We don't know if they aren't stocking because they don't think stuff will sell, or if they are out of stock due to sales.

Where did you find the clutch bell? It was out of stock at Detroit Performance and I couldn't even find it on DDM's site.
I was able to get it from DDM just last week. Might be sold out now...

Got it from DDM. They are still in stock.

"its in" lol
Taylor 35 is installed. I have 2 pipe options on hand: The 30deg N, and the Taylor rc.
They each have a very different fab profile.
Which one???
Curious if anyone has messed with different pipes on this motor.
The 3DN must have been on a dino and they tuned the sweet spot with a rubber mallet lol. That big divot just kills me...

I would go with the Taylor if for no other reason that it looks nicer.
I agree! I'll toss the Taylor pipe on it. BTW, The Taylor ign coil has only one quick disconnect on the back side and an eye hole terminal on the front side that the mounting screw has to pass through it for the remote kill switch to attach to. I had to do a little soldering to get my remote kill switch installed. Also having to do some mods for the throttle linkage due to the reed case carb location. Not really difficult just necessary.

Currently I have a 20t pinion with the stock 58t spur. This is what I'll break in the motor in with once everything is dialed in. I have a 21t pin to try out as well.

Considering I am completely new to the FiveT platform, It has taken quite a bit of research and helpful input from you all to ensure I was ordering the correct parts for my Rovan 360lt chassis which I now know is a Losi V1 clone-ish platform (for the most part) confirmed by all your input.

The Taylor 35cc reed case dropped right in without any problems. I have a Modified V1 center diff mount on the way as well as a Taylor diff barrel which will be the next install. I picked up a stripped 2.0 Taylor diff mount w/brace from a online purchase a while back before I knew the differences. It is basically new and I will be listing it soon.

Any Ctr Diff fluid recommendations? I was thinking 500k to start with for general bashing and ripping around. Thoughts welcome.

Just a heads up if you don't know already..when you switch your center diff mount look at your brake cams. Rovan uses a diffrent style that will not work with 5t center diff mounts. When i put the MOD center diff in my Rovan i had to get the Losi 5t brake cam hardware kit.

This is what my Rovan looked like, the other is the Losi

I put 1M in mine and it seems to work pretty well (I have the same engine). I think 500k would be fine too though.

Thanks for letting me know and that info, much appreciated. Do you know what all I will need or is it sold in a complete set? More stuff to order haha.

Ok thanks!

Got the pipe put on this morning.
-I just fired this new pup up and I'm very impressed so far. I didn't get to run it around yet but damn this sounds awesome right at clutch engagement. Cant wait to get it on the pipe. Basically just got some fuel run through it. Super excited to get it out and do some break in runs.
start up was straight forward: Primed the bulb, choke on till it bumped, choke off 3-4 pulls till it fired. I live at 6k ft and did not need any needle adjustments for initial start which makes life so much easier (not chasing F/A mixture)...

From what i remember everything else worked. You just need original losi brake cams to fit the mod carrier. Now you are getting into the minor but major differences between original losi 5t and a clone. This is where its going to get confusing. I have herd that the diff internals of a rovan are slightly diffrent then a losi. I don't know that first hand. That may cause a problem putting Rovan diff gears in a barrel made for a 5t.

Thanks, that's definitely worth looking into. I did get the brake cams ordered.

Looking at the Taylor Diff specs, it says it works with the rovan LT so I guess I'll hope for the best. 'll find out soon. Thanks for bringing that up!
