60cc WHY?????

It seems kinda fast and i LOVE the beetle shell.. But $1000 for a 60cc motor? I have seen baja's run this fast without the 60cc motor!

It needs to be geared taller that's for sure....

I definately can't justify that much money for an engine.

If I had the money, which i don't I would get a 60cc for bragging rights.

On regular dirt and asphalt, a smaller engine is probably better, but in the dunes, it's all about torque and power, and the 60cc delivers...

My buddys baja 5b ss with a fitted Zenoah G270 race ported engine would keep up with this any day hone:hone:

1000$ but over priced for a engine! i would thing

loving the beetle shell and look like a great place to bash

My mate has a 62cc in his bug his name is Paul Ginge form the uk forum
He bashes at crosby beach with a few other people.

Yeah and you also need the KRD 62cc Conversion Install Kit aswell.......
so thats another $325.00!!

Any other baja motor will have no chance against this........

I'd like to see that 100cc custom job out making some runs in the dunes. Its around on the net somewhere, probably saw it here.

I suppose the polite way of putting it is these engine's need a bit more development.
What I've read is that they've the same power as a tuned 26-29cc Zenoah (4-5hp), but have a lot more torque.
As mentioned, to make the most of this, you gear higher.
Don't know about the clutch - I reckon they rev quite a bit lower, so definitely DON'T consider a 8.5k (red spring) clutch, if it can be fitted.
I liked the idea when I first saw these a few months ago on this forum, but I'm not convinced - very expensive for whatever gain there is ... it is nice to say 'mine's a 62cc', not a 26cc !!
