I installed the new steering rack.

First thing I did was removed bearings and neverseized where bearings sit. I also put it on any moving parts. Everything went together great, as usual with Ol'fart creations. Need to finish setting up end points and take it for a test run.

Knuckles,

Does that top piece in the second 2 pics come with the 7075 steering and what all does it replace? I'm in the market for some steering on my XT that was destroyed. Thanks, man.

The top plate is the redcat aluminum one, it does not come with steering kit. The steering kit comes with servo saver and bellcrank. Go on 7075rc site on left side of forum. Good picture there. Also check 7075 spot on forum too.

Did official test run, and I am very pleased with result, servo saver is awesome. Shows no real feel of bump steer even with the big tires I have on it. I highly recommend this upgrade.

The only thing I did was flip the servo so it was closer to rack. For reasons that saver is a little short with servo not flipped. It is adjustable but works out better with servo flipped.

The old man outdid himself this time. Great job!!!!!

Going to bash hard tomorrow. Let you know how it goes.

Completed hard bash session with raving success yesterday, no breakage at all (on the steering anyway). Everything went great, had to make some minor servo endpoint adjustments. Absolutely recommend this product if you have x series vehicles.
