71007 diff plate

I need a new diff plate...I thought there was a better after market one with bigger sealed bearings? any info?

7075RC is working on one. You can use the MT diff plate, which runs bigger bearings.

The bearing set has 5 bearings? I think it would need 7?

The metal plate only uses 5. The plastic Xseries has 6 since it uses smaller bearings.

Is the 050004 alum the same? and uses the same 5 bearings?

050004 is the aluminum MT plate, it's the same as the plastic MT plate. They use the same bearings. That kit IS missing a bearing, though. You need to add a 10x22x7. A 10x22x6 will work, but you'll need a shim to make up for the difference in width.

The 6th bearing is for the mount behind the breaks next to the center dif. The plate itself uses only 5.
