8000 clutch spring and stock clutch?

I put a 8000 clutch spring in my friends stock xb,still running the stock clutch. the motor races and barley engages,is the stock clutch to thin or the spring ment to be used with an aftermarket clutch?

No ..you can use it with the stock clutch. Are the bolts to tight on the clutch?
