I finally achieved greatness. I've gone 95% alloy. All I have to do yet is install the gearcase, rear bulkheads, and a few other parts and I'm home free. The only thing is I must never crash it. There will be a few parts left plastic wheels included but that's it. When I get it together, I'll even post pics.

Good luck, I keep telling myself not to do that. Never really works out.
 
I built a full alloy car once said the exact same thing, smacked a telephone pole within 3 minutes of starting it oops........ I hope you have a Killer RC Kill switch.
 
i alloyed alot on mine but left things that needed to stay flexible the plastic stock stuff.

one thing that helps a LIL BIT, is keeping that front skid,brace, and bumper all plastic, has some give that way, and not a solid shock if you smack something not too hard.

if you got that rc all solid with no give points, its gonna bend to a pretzel if you hit something solidly.

its cool to do the tower braces and suck like that in alloy, but i wouldnt do the a arms, or that front skig assembly in alloy. solid will xfer the load to other parts of vehicle screwing up more stuff as it warps thru it.
 
need a KB. mine come in today, and i got it on the engine along with the extended wire led. i mounted the led in a tab i made and bolted to non used fan cover top rear.

gotta wait for rest of goodies to arrive, replacing the radio with a 4pks and 7955 and 5755 servos.
