Does anyone know or has anyone tried to see if a 31t B-gear will mesh properly w/a 25t A-gear? What was the play like between them?

Also, what's the play like between the 25t A-gear & 35t B-gear? I know from my experience of rebuilding diffs & swapping gears in them that a tight fit is desired. A touch of play is ok. Just don't want the gears too tight or w/too much play. I figure these gears in these rampages should be a lil more forgiving than their real life counterparts.

If no one knows I'll be the guinea pig. Just wish my tax return would hurry & get here lol. At least it's giving me time to do thorough research haha.

No. Here is how they will fit. The ratios won't be correct due to the 24-26 c & d gears.

They are not tight. There is no adjustment. That's why only certain gears will mesh.

Ok then I am confused??? The chart shows the xt set up of 25-35-25-25. They all show the C/D gears of 25-25. Where are the 26-24 C/D gears? I must be blind? Are the xt & mt gear set ups different?

The chart is old. The older Cats had 25-25 for c & d. Here is another pic.

wow, ok. i guess i'll just have to find out when i get my trucks. i know lower gears in diffs are typically easier on drive gears but harder on diff cases & that taller gears are harder on drive gears but easier on diff cases. that's my experience. i want the xt platform bc of the lower gearing. either way, it's all good!
