Go to Amazon. Enter Bearcat 980. Most excellent Channel 1,26.965 Tru Channel 40, 27.405. This puppy is TOTALLY drift free!! Forget the know nothing comments. All you need to do is remove the screws on the mike, remove the rubber cover on the mike element- re assemble. IF any one wants to know how to cut coax correctly, just ask- it has to do with velocity factor- speed of light- bla-bla- This is unknown by 99% of the radio operators including hams.- Yea, check it out- A R-M. 206 amp is a good little amp to attatch to the top of this radio- 1 watt into the amp on AM = 80 watts to the antanna. 12 watts pep on side band resuts in about 180 watts ssb. Made in Italy. Very hi quality Single Mosfet output device.
