listen to this.
would happen only to me of course :lol:

i ran the car the other day(fg beetle) and could not understand why the thing was shaking so voilently....:scared:

could NOT understand this, nor have i ever seen any thing like this,

anyway bought car to my work bench, looked over everything and was totally baffled,so mmm i said 'that front left hand side wheel bearing seems pretty rough',so changed that, took a while with the alloy hub but was easy enough with bearing tool.
but to my astonishment, made no differnce at all....:gun_bandana:

so second time bought car in again, went through everything twice, checked brakes, checked anything that could possibly cause all this dramatic shaking..........NO LUCK!

ran car again,WORSE,shaking like it was fit to take off the ground like a plane.
i put it away,it got the better of me and left me totally confused.

anyway that night was kinda bored so i decided to go at the old fg again, took her down, undressed her and checked her all from head to toe:lol::lol:
STILL COULD NOT FIGURE THIS out

so annoyed as i was i said i would adjust the brakes(cables rear) and as i was at it i span the front wheel a bit to check the feel to see if it wasnt rubbing,AND TO MY astonishment that front left wheel shook the crap out of the car just turning slowly, mmmm SO I took off the wheel and noticed it was unusualy heavy,i taught water, boy was i wrong.

a week before this i ran the car on the soft sand on the beach and the inside of the tyre had slightly removed from the glue on the rim, small portion of the tyre, but this was enough to let it get completly filled with sand :lol:

AND PROBLEM SOLVED, tyre emptied of sand and perfect once again.

as i said unusual and prob would just happen to me:lol:

:scared: That's gotta be the quote of the day. I've been married 9 years and I still don't have a clue.

All kidding aside, you must not be running any foams. I have never had that happen. You didn't have nay problems seperating thetire fromthe rim to remove the sand.

i did that , but it wasnt sand it was water . i have had a foam insert break and build up in one area causing a bad shake at speed . i ended up putting the wheel into a pot of boiling water and removing the tyre to fix the insert . i must say it worked very well [boiling the wheel] and i reused everything with no issues ..

When you boiled it, did the wheel/rim get cloudy at all? I boiled a set of tires from my savage and destroyed the finish.

Thanks,
Trip..
