I got a chance to run it around a bit this afternoon. Only took about 30 pulls to get it started... I thought I must have flooded it, so I took the spark plug out to check it. It wasn't wet, but it was a bit sticky. I put it back in and slow pulled another 10 or so times and it started firing up. Engine definitely needs to be re-tuned. It has a lot of mid-range grunt, but low-end grunt is really weak. I'm not sure how old the gas was or what ratio he had in it, but i'll be dumping the rest of that tank and starting over with my mix and some ethanol free gas. Now that I see somewhat how it performs, I'll start disassembling and checking everything. @Mick Mars when yours had the stock motor, how was your low end? I honestly thought it would have more low-end torque. It could be the way it's geared though. I believe he said it had the mid-range gearing in it currently.
After this, i'll start a new thread and go through the whole tear down and re-build! If I get a chance later this week, i'll try to get a video of how it currently behaves.
