So some good friend's and I planed too go down to Florence sand dunes. and like we all do. I spent the week cleaning up my ramp tt5 30.5 and getting it ready to go. the day before i run my tt making sure that it was up to par,So i load up all the gear and drive down there to the camp and we set it all up and unload the quads and went for a short ride and then to run the rc's.get them out and fuel them and started my 30.5 cc up run it out and up the dune about 500ft to the top and back down half way spun it around to run it back up the hill and i go for it full throttle and to my surprised it shot up the hill killer rooster tails and all, then it went south the tt kept on going up up and out of site gone and steel running on. i hope on the quad and when i caught up to it, it had ran a long ways thinkin a 1/4 mile at least, stuck in a deep ditcth.so after all the cussing and yelling i get it back to camp and the gas servo was toast and stuck open the breaks are smoked and not much left.the fail safe worked but it didnt stop. but we did run some other nitro and 1/5's. dummed out but had fun. so come on and let's here a day that truly went south.

i used to drive to maryland to race my 5th scale on-roads. its 3.5 hours, one way(7+round trip). once per month we would have a trophy series, but we would still run on the second saterday of every month as long as we had 3 racers. it was a chance i took going up their on that weekend not knowing if we would be able to run. i lucked out 3 times. on the last trip, after taking the same roads 12 times, i went the wrong way and drove 1 hour the wrong way and another hour to get back on track. took me 5 hours to get their!! and their was only 2 of us, so i said the heck with it and started doing practice laps. i was using my dx2(spare radio)becouse the 2.4 is better at the track with other racers. that day it would lose bind or glitch at a certain point on the track. well it eventually gave lose on the back straight. by the time the failsafe kicked on, my fg comp hit the wall at about 50mph and cleared a 4' fence. ok.. what are yo going to do. spectrums suck and i new it. so hooked up my 3pm to my spare fg cloney. started doing laps and what do you know? bang. same spot on the track. lost signal on the back straight. wheel cut to the left and full throttle. by the time i fumble for the 3rd channel kill switch, it had hopped the wall and hit the fence. i was done. didnt chance it with my 3rd on-road as it was brand new, not even broke in yet. so at about 2pm i packed up and left. got about 1.5 hours out and decided to pull over at this empty lot and run my new rig and to double check my radio gear as i swear it was a problem with that track. pop the trunk.. NO RADIO GEAR!! LEFT IT AT THE TRACK!! my hole radio box with spectrum, 3pm, super brain charger and all my reciver packs. i got back to the track and my "buddy" says "i was gona call you and tell you that you left it" YA RIGHT!! he thought he had new radio gear.. after that i sold ALL my on-roads and got me some ramps.. been peachy ever since

You need a kill switch, I had to chase my FG once..... It jumped a ditch full ofwater broke a dog bone and reved the krap out of the engine. I will not run a 5th scale without a kill switch. Good to hear it wasn't atotal disaster.

Did it hurt the engine?
