Well, I feel like I'm in a great mood, because I just ordered up my Baja SS kit that I've been wanting for a few months. Now only another month 'till it arrives!

Something tells me that putting it together is going to be as much fun as driving it :D

Apparently, my Baja has been shipped and I didn't even know it. I purchased it and expected a month or so delay time until I would receive it but according to my invoice it shipped on March 29th! That means I should be receiving a notice from the post office any day now.

I must say, the excitement is quite unbearable.

sweet. wait till you open it up and pull it out (ya i know, thats the same thing we told every women we ve ever tried to sleep with too, lmmfao)

you ll scream like a school girl and probably piss your tu tu. lol

Yep, it happened Timmahh - not the pissing the tu tu, but it's here. I have to say, there are so many parts. I've never built a kit before so it seems slightly daunting, but I'll build it slowly so it'll last.

Oh the excitement...

looks like alot until you start getting all the sub assemlbys together.

i just stripped and re anod one of my neighbors bajas last week. wasnt too bad all in all.
drink a brew and enjoy the build!

I just finished my baja ss kit and i had a lot of fun building it! I'm sure you won't have much difficulty, good luck anyway. the only trubble i had was fitting a hitec HS-965MG servo to the trottle, it just wouldnt fit!

i've built two already, and they are a ton of fun to build as long as you don't break parts like I did a few times... if you do that, it puts the whole fun to a hault

I just took her for her maidn voyage tonight and there was nothing broken for the short amount of time I drove it. Mind you I'm grandmaing it for the break-in period...

I have to say that Craftmanstein and Mini-mo were quite satisfying since I had built them up mostly from scratch, but the Baja's performance just takes things to a whole new level. The power is great out of the box, handling and speed are better than my home brew machines. The only problems I found for the moment are that I find the clutch engages a wee bit high for my taste, and the battery box is ghastly difficult to access where it is placed. Other than that, it's a ride in the park, or street for that matter.
