Hi guys :)

ok been thinking of slicing my Dom!

Reason is that the dom is a fixed pipe that fastens straight onto the head of my engine, which aint too good if ever theres a nasty bang as it could end up doing some major damage to my head/piston! :( Infact im pretty sure its putting alot of strain on my alloy carrier at present as thats where its brcaket fastens to & ive just noticed my spur bearing on the carrier is totally chewed up, dunno if it cus of the strain of the pipe being mounted to the carrier or summit else but...

So been thinkin of slicing my dom near the header & removing 2-3mm then adding some silicon tubing? This will allow some flex when needed, what you guys think :) ?

I reckon it's a good idea. Maybe a jubilee clip at one end (or both) to hod the silicone in place. Thing is i'd be too scared to cut up my pipe in case I made a hash of it.
