The last time i ran my mt i managed to flip it and almost ripped the top of the shock off. This is what i added ,i am still going to brace these back to the main cage but here is what i got so far.More pics when i am done.What do you think?

Thanks chevy, its 3/8 aluminum. and yes it bolts where the cheap plastic one did.I am thinking about making a couple but finding the time and the beer required thats a tough one lol
 
hey fat nice cage. do you do your own welding. if so with what and can you give me any tips. im working on my cage as we speak. bars cut just don't know how to weld.

Thanks scare, yes i have a miller 212 with an aluminum spool gun, really need a tig for this small stuff.But some days i can get it dialed in just right,others it looks like popcorn.Just keep it clean or you will get alot of trash in your weld. What are you welding with?
 
Almost doneI did some work tonight and i am almost done except for fabbing a light bar on the front and rear of the cage. I am going to run baja style lights on it. here are some more pics of it so far. :cool:

Thanks everybody .Its really a purple pearl auto air color depends on which angle you look at it,and when i had the truck apart i painted it.

lighter than it looks


I weighed my rollcage today and its a helluva lot lighter than i thought it would be 1lb 11.5oz

I have been welding (if you can even call it that) with the Durafix stuff. Im not even profiscient enough with that stuff.

Great cage! What grade aluminum did you use? Did you get it anno'd or is that just polished?
