I used one to steer a 1/8 Truggy once was pritty good but was wondering if anyone used it for brakes? and does it cut it? :boat:

It should do the job@6v, but most including myself use the ACE1015. Depends on your budget really. :)

I put one in my firehammer MT and it works great. It worked alot better then the stock servo. I have a few of these servos in other vehicles. They just don't like getting wet:blush:

hey i just want to say i use like ducky an ace for throttle/brake application and are very good/smooth/fast and powerfull, for my steering i always use something big like a metal geared tripple ballbearing hitek.

i just never had any luck with other servos, cheaper ones are grand and most work away fine and nearly all come with metal gears now but the big problems with the cheap servos i find is that the motors just stop without warning......

thats a pain why sell good metal geared servos with sh#t motors is beond me..

when that tower pro starts hunting for center, check inside the case at the top... I'll see if I can't find the mod page. A bud's job is tech support and he has come up with a great mod for these servos (among other things, man is brilliant)...

they are good bang for the buck but the cases wear out. on a good note, I used my TP995 hears to replace my hitec digital gears when they busted, so I keep the worn out 995's just for the gears.

I have a TP 1/4 scale digi in my steering and been there for a year. it works great and 2 shipped for $25 is hard to beat

Hmmm,Stall torque 15k/cm and operating performance 13k, that means if you have 13k operating range per cm and you are using a 2cm servo arm your end torque will be reduced to 116oz or there abouts, thats enough to pull any brakes. But do beware some cheap manufacturers claim a bigger operating torque than what the servo is capable of! Just like LiPo batteries, some say I.E ,4000Ma when really there only knocking out 3200 or around that figure. So if you are contemplating getting a decent servo just save a bit more and get a reputable branded name for peace of mind.
