After run oil

All the guys who run nitro RC's put after run oil in their engine. Is it necessary to do the same with gas engines?

Not at all.

Nope the oil residue is still the same like a nitro. Plus I'd see you would probably go through more spark plugs if you tend to use an after run oil

Nitro is highly corrosive hence the need for after run oil, ie marvel mystery oil.

I don't even really use after run oil in my nitros, unless im storing for a while. Also, nitro fuel gums up (the castor oil). For a gas, a good 2 stroke oil will stick to the piston/cylinder and prevent corrosion.

Most nitro fuel contain an after run oil built into them anymore. I hadn't run any of my nitros for going on 6+ years and they all spun over freely when I dug them out to sell off.
