After Shock 8e drift

I am getting ready to build a drift car. The After Shock 8e is a sweet platform. Zeilkeracing has built a touring car that is very nice. I want the same basic set up but with drift tires. No one makes 1/8 drift tires. Well I did what pipeous suggested and bought some abs 3" pipe and a set of ofna rims. The pipe didn't fit over the ring on the rim.


I had to cut the rim and then make a jig to chuck up in my drill to turn the ring down even further.

Here's the finished product. Now I need some cash to hit up rob and buy the rest of this project.

I decided not to try to perfect these tires because really they won't last that long. LOL. I want to stay red cat but Ofna makes a nice chassis for $180 and I could use a Castle Creations Mamba Monster and even set up a mechanical brake. I'm undecided right at this moment.
