I agree from what ive seen everytime a shipment of Rampages come out, they sell out!!..plain and simple...The popularity is growing by leaps and bounds, and surely justifies the need for aftermarket parts... :D

Just the other day when I saw that Redcat was sold out of all except the pro MT I wondered just how many they are producing each run...

So...It only means that supply isn't quite meeting demand...they *in theory* could be producing 200 at time and need to produce 300 to meet demand

*again I'm using imaginary numbers and could be off by thousands*

I guess they could also be slightly short ordering to make it seem even more popular selling out each time

..It would all be in the numbers to get aftermarket more interested....

Yes aftermarket stuff is really needed.Would be nice to get stuff at one place, not have to buy one item at one place and another at another place, but that will never happen. Heard pro-line is droping thier 23mm line of wheels.

For some reason I beleive rampage cars are putted together by hand and not in factory line so that's why they have limited amount of them.

I could be wrong also.

we want more!

am a new owner of a BIG cat MT and after a few days online its no hard to notice that there's more and more people buying this big trucks

so they should start considering on lowering prices, more options

that kind of stuff, imagine if there was a exclusive street tire for the rampage MT/TT/DUNERUNNER?

i mean big ass onroad rims/tires it would just look bad ass, a wider body as well! cheapper too!

at 120 buck am sorry guys just does not make sense!

yeah i know am crying about the prices, but todays economy requires changes on the market so, lower prices keeping quality, is the way to go!

and when you have responsabilitys/family, and don't make a million bucks a year, makes even harder to keep your hobbie going we have to go for the best bang without putting a hole on your pocket!

The price has never been lower than it is now. When the Rampage first came out they were $1000+, there werent any aftermarket parts for them. Most guys that modded them did there own homebrew modification. Now you have full aluminum upgrade options, seal bearing kits, screw kits, pipes and other things. Things are getting better and better all the time for them.

All i have to say is,

good luck with that jackson.

the Redcat price range is bottom line.

sorry but RC's isn't a cheap hobby and never will be.

kids this ,that is no excuse for what you what when you want it....

not trying to burst your bubble

but that's one dream that won't come true...lol

P.S RedCat is in it's 5th year and still beat out others prices..

There is at least a good thing about Redcat car, you can use any HPI wheel/tire combo already available, and even use the wheel extender made to fit HPI, but several Redcat owner do not know about it.

Same thing for Body, there is several choice available.

Same for engine uppgrade, clutch, there is also plenty of choice.

Aluminum parts are already available from the factory........

What's needed is more pipe choice and better drivetrain (differential, axle, output cup.....etc....)

I think the most desired thing is to tell public how good are Redcat, telling that there is already some available uppgrade (wheel, tire, body, engine)

And needless to say to stop the misinformed forum member to say bad thing about Redcat when they know nothing about it.

amen on that martin.

everyone have a nice holiday and remember to drive drunk only with your RC...lol

like i said !

am a new owner of a redcat, as for not knowing much about it, yes i don't, but its not my first RC i do own a very fast yet expensive kyosho gt2 onroad, and i love it!

still redcat had me at hello!

am impressed drove it all day today 3 bucks of gas! that means a lot to me!

i do have new pipe on the way, new bigbore kit as well, i do pay what you guys pay, and am not dreaming, i know redcat is the cheapest well there's KM king motor, but as fas as i know i'd stay aways fom clones! beeing a clone or not!

thats why i when online and got my younger brother a brand new rampage MT and whatever upgrade i get for mine i get for my bro as well!

i try to read everything you guys have to say, it is a new world for me, 5th scale gassers they're big fun and dam loud!

as for misinformed maybe! still wouldn't hurt to pay less for whatever you want! if only money wasn't an issue!

take it easy guys

please am sorry if i offended anyone! didn't mean it!

you can only go so cheap, if you get any cheaper you will get less quality then you have guys callin or on here complaining about something breakin that should not have broke. redcat gets feedback from us and does what they can to make better, as for price all the new owners are gettin a great deal. when i first bought mine i paid 1300.00 for a standard v1 rampage with a jetpro pipe and a 28.5cc engine, plus later on had to get a 50.00 upgrade kit for the new updated parts. and the v3's have this option already installed, so i guess i would be thankful if i could had paid such a low price that it is now.

i know!

prices appart, lets talk about something else had a great day today running my cat down the street with street tires on it!

my only problem so far battery draining to quick!

will a 4-5000mah give how much more run time?

also what do i do to get a lil more final speed? swap the gears around?

one more thing mine still all stock except for the hpi rims and tires, and is kind of to slow of the line, will the ddm pipe improve that?

how much difference will it make?

should i consider installing the bigbore kit now or just go with the pipe and wait till later when the engine looses its pintch?

both the pipe and the 28.5 kit are on the way, but i realy don feel confortable yet to mess with the engine!

thanks!

A 5000 mah will give you around 6-7 tanks

Personally, I put my pipe on and have been having lots of fun with the huge improvement...I'm gonna wait until colder weather to rebuild my engine..

When you are ready to rebuild, there is a 7 part series by 'python motors' and 'fast eddy' that walk you through step by step rebuilding a motor.

I contacted western robotics about a cnc setup (friend of mine). they make the boards and crap for sherline mills. we were working something out, he asked me if I wanted to contract out soldering leads and crap on the boards for their products (stuff that doesn't go in the oven). We were going to meet, then I got crazy busy.

if I get the cnc setup I am also grabbing a 3d scanner so I can just scan and cut parts. after the painting job yesterday I am about to give up painting. trying to explain to a butthead why 1 coat of dark over light paint shows spotty... dude it needs 2 coats, simple.... it's 1 coat paint. doesn't matter. I always do 2 coats. not worth wasting extra time trying to cover in 1, won't happen.

anyway, I'd like to start making my own stuff for the rally. many of the parts are cross platform. I should call Jimmy again this week. looks like I have fri and sat off due to rain.

thanks, both the pipe and the kit should be here some time this week! one more thing has anyone ran one of those RD logistics pipes?

seem some vids about it but is hard to tell!

oh almost forgot, have anyone used the hitech 645 servos for steering?

they're like 9-10 kilos at 6v so i figure two of them would be ok!

what you guys think?

This is an MT, right? 645's would be too small, as they're standard sized servos. You need a servo like a 5755 or a 5745. As far as the RD Logics pipe, I'm not sure it'll fit without some modification of the rear shock tower.

after yesterday when i ran up and down the street chasing the cars, using the hpi street tires, o boy it was fun cant even explayn, just a blast to go around and around in and out of my negbhor driveway, lots of dust, just feel like turning my mt in to a onroad monster!

lound and the thing screams, got love it!

is the dunerunner faster?

noticed some of you guys got that one too!

thanks on the servo info Deluge, almost got two of those 645's!

cant wait for the weekend again!

there both good in speed about the same and also depends on the engine, pipe and gearing..

Well if you guys can hold on another month or two I'll have something big coming for you guys. I'll announce the product in a week or two. You guys are gonna love it when you see it. It won't be cheap so sell your kids now :) LMAO
