im so upset im going to the dunes on wednesday and i wanna take the XT!! please help!!

I wish I could help you with this one, but I have not had a shock fail me yet so I have not had to order any. I was told though that for the MT, HPI front shocks work great all the way around, so I will go that route once I need to replace a few.

Me too I'd rather use the MT shocks and buy a couple rebuild kits.... The thing I'm wondering is can I use MT fronts for front and rears for rears?? Because I know if I use Baja shock I need to use front all the way around

You can use front MTs on all for of the X series cars. There a bit long for the front, but that's ok they wont over extend.

Mine did the same thing! Damn cheap ass stock shocks.

It appears all the blue stuff can be swapped out for the x series gun metal stuff, can anyone confirm this? If not I guess I'll have to de-anno them.

The MT shocks are a bit longer, but still work. The ball end on the top of the MT shocks take a larger bolt. You can either drill out the shock tower or just pop the ball end from the x-series. The ball is the same size.

Looks about like the same shock... Can you use the rebuilt kits for the MT shocks in the x shocks? Will the shock cap and spring retention collar swap between the two shocks pictured?

Nice Redcat mat BTW, I have one too.

It would, but the X-series are a completely different platform. It would be cool to see larger shock towers with the MT shocks on the X-series vehicles. I have the MT shocks on my XB.

They are definitely different!! The lower cap on the XT were aluminum and plastic on the MT...the springs on the MT is a little soft..I may or may not change them for harder springs

I may do that!!But for now I kinda like how it dampens. I changed the shock oil to a 50wt and its driving like a charm
Good to hear.

I have 40wt in mine seems to work good.
