A few people have them on thier Bajas. I've never heard anything good about them though, since RB Innovations seems to have alot of gimmicky stuff.

what one do you recommend then for mt? i see hpi on some threads is that best ? is that the cone type?

do you have part number for one everyone uses? I noticed the mt has two stage filters is the hpi still better and does it use air filter oil?

ok I am getting the 990 carb but don't know which billet manifold between carb and engine I can use that can line right up with the 990 they don't have one for hy30cc I see for cy anyone know part number from ddm for the manifold and gaskets ?will it line right up or do I have to modify it? thanks again this will be last question for this sorry such a newbie to this stuff never worked on engines like these before. starting get the hang of the rest of truck .also claude the first filter looks similar to the stock filter on my mt it has two stage filter too

I have one of the HyperChargers but haven't used it yet. I've only mocked it up to check fit. I like the screen on the scoop and the paper element should last a long time and replacement filters are available. I picked up an extra element just in case they disco it. The air scoop has gaps around the top and bottom due to the alignment pins inside are to long. A little trimming and I closed the gap. Lots of sharp edges in the molding, I am currently prepping it for some paint detail.

Besides the fit and finish of the components of the filter. I don't like that there is a lot of filter hanging out there with no support other than the carb. You also have to remove the roll cage cross member in front of the carb to fit. Which weakens the roll cage a bit. I've been toying with the idea of trying to make a new cross member that will also support the charger. But then when it goes turtle it will transfer roll cage stress to the charger to carb mount, not good. It may end up shelf queen dressing, if the truck ends up retired.

Right now I just want to see it empty a tank of fuel before breaking something.

my mt v3 has the same 2 stage breather like hpi and I know what ya mean about breaking I got my mt in march of this year and with everything that has gone wrong I have over 400$ in parts

Just make sure you get a 4 bolt.

Much more reliable

I run a WT 990 carb

I tried 3 668s before I gave in and upgraded
