For our RC stuff get the Paasche get the double action. It works well with the Pactra paints get the ones that thin with laquer thinner not the water base.

I have some of the IWATA and other high detail airbrushes but don't like them with the RC lexan paint.

Use a regular home use air compressor and get you a knob turn style regulator like on a paint gun for automotive. You will have plenty of air , it works better and no need to get a special low duty air compressor.

You should be able to get the airbrush and regulator and couple extra bottles for less than $125 don't quote me I have had my airbrushes for over 15 years and not sure on todays prices. I guess showing my age. LOL

I have a $50 airbrush and use the water based stuff too. I just cover with krylon clear after. I want a small compressor though. I bought a dewalt direct drive for a small high output unit for auto detailing but it's loud

check youtube. there are a ton of great training vids. check out edd hubbs, he's amazing
