I upgraded my Losi 5 with the Crazy Stu's filter. Now i cant get the car to start, is this just a coincidence or is there something you need to do to retune with the added air supply. Everything else is the same. Thank you

Let's start with the easiest thing first.

1) Did you oil the filter? Try starting without the filter. If it starts, put the filter back on. If the engine bogs down = too much oil. Squeeze out excess oil and have fun.

2) It's possible to install the wrong gasket between the insulator and the carb which would block the impulse port.

Good luck

I did change the gaskets prior, may i be a newbie enough to ask what is the impulse port. I basically used the gaskets with the kit.

It is the tiny hole in the insulator that corresponds with the hole in the carb. Crankcase pressure pulses through the port in to the carb to actuate the fuel pump diaphragm.

The gasket between the carb and insulator should look similar to this gasket. The gasket behind the velocity stack does not have the additional small holes.
