Air Filter Upgrade Suggestions

Ok, So let's here some suggestions on Air Filters. I have already installed a JetPro SidePipe and now want to get some better Air Flow. I was also thinking of cutting out the clear part in the body (windshield I guess LOL) which is in my opinion restricting Air from flowing through the filter and also keeping the engine cooler. Does anyone see any problems with that idea either?

The Baja filter assembly is the most common upgrade.

Baja air filter and no need to cut the body and weaken it. Plenty of air gets in underneath.

MT air filter

Deluge, Rob, Will this air filter work on my MT V3? My rollcage has a bar running across the filter. Do I need to remove it or the air filter is short enough that it won't hit this bar? Thanks

You will have to remove bar and your throttle brake linkages will have to be modded.

you should buy the phatdad angled shreadstack and you'll clear it all

The shreadstack keeps the filter above the servo linkages. It is not a good choice for the XB as it won't fit under the body.

It's a great filter clears the servos and you don't have to hack up the body.

I did. It's huge! It is bigger than the pic looks. Larger diameter than the HPI filter with the prefilter installed. So no it's sits in the drawer waiting for the 5ive build. I'm one part on my way.

Did it hit the body? I'd assume the only issue would be the throttle linkage. If that's the case you could probably use a one sided servo horn, and if necessary, bend your own linkage. Now I need an XB!
