Hey,

Does anyone know of a an air filter upgrade that I can put on my XT? I just recently purchased the Jetpro side pipe and Dino recommened that I upgrade the air filter system.

Thanks,

City

This is the one I bought and an adapter. Awesome filter and clears everything perfectly. They have 3 styles to choose from according to what type of conditions you run in.

The K&N filters will work for a short time and look good. But once your engine gets dirt in it, you will switch to a foam type filter.

I never saw the TGN angled foam version, that is a good idea for the Redcats.

I don't know why it would be Baja specific, it's just an air filter. If the stock Baja filter system fits the Rampage, I'm sure any filter system that's designed for the Baja will fit.

You have to buy the adapter which they call a velocity stack also for $8.00.

Lowedog,

For this specific air filter, did you have to reconfigure the throttle linkage in order for it to have a clean fit?

Nope! No interference at all. The shape of the filter allows it to clear the linkage completely.

Lowedog, can you tell me exactly what else I need to install this on my XT? I ordered the triple flow but I haven't finalized the order coz' you said I need to order the velocity stack as well. But been waiting for days and i'm not getting any response from this store when I asked about the velocity stack and I can't find it? That's why I love shopping at Rob's store, he's always there when you got questions? wonder if these stores realize how important customer support is? Thank God we got people like Rob of Rampage Hopups and RedCat Racing who are enthusiastic about what they do.Can you give me the link to it so I can order the whole set? Even with the outerwear, I don't think the stock XT air filter is giving my motor enough protection. We bash in area where it only takes one XT to get a lot dust in the air. Thanks bro!

Hi all, my first post, got my XT today.

It would indeed be nice if they said on the filter page if you have 'such and such engine, you need this' with a link. I did a simple search for 'stack' and found this right away. http://www.tgndistributing.com/velocity-stack.html

TGN Billet Velocity Stack with included o-ring. Velocity stacks are needed to install aftermarket filters for CY and Zenoah engines.
If you look at the pic here

you can see the inside collar is threaded. The velocity stack is also threaded. This Velocity Stack seems to replace part number 25051 on the exploded engine view.

Since I have not installed this myself, (damm well ordered it though) this is purely what I gathered from research and this thread.

Hope this helps.
