can somebody tell me exactly what hpi air filter i need and where to get it(part number would be great)...everybody keeps telling me i need a hpi air filter.Well they've got more than 1 type...I've never had a hpi so i don't know what i'm looking for...tell me every thing i need so i don't have to order twice.thanks

no, the shredstack is not needed, but nice. it makes for more clearance for the throttle/brake linkages. but the pics above show the hpi air filter installed w/o the shredstack that angles the filter upward.


just the first 2 pieces you need. 1) the cage assy and 2) the 2 part foam filters that go over the cage assy. you'll also need good dirt bike foam air filter oil.
 
Get quantity of 2 of item one and quantity of 3 of item 2 on Ron E links that will get you enough for both your cars and a extra filter element to have preoiled up and ready.


The shredstack is nice on baja but not necesary on th e Rampage.
 
I use the standard linkage hookup. I had to trim a little off the edge from the plastic HPI filter top.


The linkage has clearance now and it's using the stock angles. I use the stock servo horn that came


with my Rampage. The mod does not affect filter performance whatsoever.


Check the pic, truck is dirty but you can still see...
