Is it normal for the filter to hug one side of the cage like this, the motor looks straight on the chassis, and you can see the filter is already skewed to one side on it's mount??Also what is the screw in the upper alloy A arm for?Taking up slop in the linkages??Squat??

My K&N is exactly the same as yours mate. It sits over to the RH side. I thought something was bent but all checks out ok. If you haven't got 1 already make sure you get a foam pre-filter over it or your engine will hoover the road up :scared: You can get them on ebay, FG do 1 to fit over the K&N's and DDM also sell them and they are only a couple of bucks

Wise move. I was out work at the time so just got the foam prefilter for the cheaper option. It works well tho :cool2:

I bought the FG prefilter. Not sure about costs for you in the US but over here it only cost me £2......bargain

The redneck over here is like 8-10 bucks,it's getting harder and harder to find FG parts here:scared:

Just make sure you oil the redneck & you will be ok. Timmah has done a thread in the engine section explaining filter set-ups & oiling. Might be worth a read
