anybody using an airtronics mx-3? i have one (brand new) thats been sitting around for about a year now and want to put it in my new rampage, but it has the micro reciever that uses the z-connectors for the servo's.. anybody know where to get the z-connectors for my futaba style servo's? or shoud i just trim the top of the reciever cover? but the pins are still too close together.. grr!! should i just get the hitec radio that they offer with it or what?

Is there a chance you can buy some connectors from the LHS and swap them out?
Before you get the Hitec I would go for one of the better systems for such a nice model..

ya. im not going to get the hitec. the mx-3 is barely o.k. so im just gona get see if i can find the connecters for the servo's. my hobby shop doesn't sell them or anything airtronics. just cant seem to find the z-conectors anywhere. even checked tower hobbies!!

What do they look like? Any photo?
This is all I can find:
Sanwa/Airtronics receivers and servos are now being supplied with a new connector called the "Z" Connector. This connector, shown below, is blue colored and is the same shape and wiring configuration as the JR/Hitec connector. You will also find that the new Sanwa/Airtronics receivers are now being put in blue cases instead of black.

ya, i tried that, but it is still too small. the pins are really close together. i wound up triming the top of the reciever cover and carefully spreading the pins out. and after all that. i put it back in the box and ordered a second 3pm. i guess it will sit for another year or untill i buy a 5th rig... hmm:helpsmilie:
