just wondering whats the go with alloy diff raisers, like can use use 5mm alloy diff raisers on my alloy rear end ?

im asking cause witht he dps alloy lower suspention arms i have i cant fit rubber boots on the diff side, and having another 5mm might give me more diff options for the furture

I ran them on one of my marders. I liked to have the dif gear up and not protected by something plastic. less chance of an mt bottoming out than a marder though. still... if you have shocks too long it allows more travel.... hmm maybe I should consider them with lst shocks...

I didn't bolt the rose joints through the chassis on the semi. I bolted them to the riser and just screw the riser to the chassis. makes for an easier removal of the back end when needed

my mt don't have rose joint, becuase of alloy lower arms im using, i would have to use raised diff blocks/mounts.

not sure if i can use them on my alloy rear end for the mt

Yeah you have the dp arms..Only thing I can see riser's are goo for is to bring up
the diff gear..as not too hang below the chassie....Slawhammer

If you bring up the rear end you may not have good contact with the layshaft gear. I had a similar issue about 4 years ago. I decided to rasie the rear AND the motor mounts to fix this. However by doing this the side rails on the MT will no longer line up. Pros and Cons to this I guess.

it sounds like a hassle to use raised diff blocks, and since i don't like the idea of cutting the chassis, mabe a 4 fold self locking diff is the only option, there more then enough meat to remove some from my lower alloy rear arsm to fit boots

you do have to drill your chassis to use the risers. my drivetrain on the semi is butter smooth. layshaft failure was me using blue not red loktite hehe

i don't think you guys know what im talking about or you have not seen my thread, i cant use what your talking about

theres are the alloy lower rear susspention arms im using as i don't like rose joints for bashing

I ran the same v2 dps arms and I made some 5mm risers from aluminum that fit inside the hinges and just raised the diff, i was running a 4 plate so needed to go up...i had to grind about 1mm out the chassis and it worked a treat

You can just see one in the photo, took about 1/2hr with a hacksaw, file and drill

5 mm would be good to make it easyer to run a diff like yours the fg adjustable locking diff, how did you go with layshaft and engine alignment ?

cool what about the diff plate, and the upper rear suspention arms and the shock tower ?

as this is the other option

looking at this item from tps 0316 its an alloy diff mounts with 5mm lift

you need the new rear shock towers 4475/1 (with the same teflon bushes like the adjustable camber front ends so you can use the shock tower with raised or stock diff mounts)

and they say you need 0448 conection plate

this is so you can run lsd adjustable locking diffs and the older stile viscoes diffs apox $240 aud not including shipping and not including a diff to suit.

but thsi way i could run fg drive shaft boots on the diff side and run a adjustable locking diff and not have to modife the chassis.
