Just bought marder which has tuned pipe, metal gears etc but having read the tips on here would like to fit the alloy engine mounts.

I'm struggling to find any on ebay so can someone tell me the best source in the UK or provide a link/item number to the correct ones if they are on ebay.

FG alloy part numbers as follows

FG 6486 large mount
FG 6485/01 small mount in alloy

watch out with ebay as alot of new parts are dearer on there than buying new elsewere.

New prices are not cheap though.but rossmod are probably you cheapest supplier

might be an idea to just keep an eye out for second hand ones...they do come up often.you are right though no used ones on ebay at the moment.

There are Chinese alloy engine mounts.
Many are giving the idea of a 'bargain Chinese engine mount' a hard time, and not without justification, if some other parts have anything to do with it, but those listed LOOK FINE!
Hobbythek list non-FG alloy engine mounts that are a similar price, so are quite possibly the same.
I'd go with Hobbythek - that way there's a very reputable shop - quite probably the best .... - behind the deal.
That way you'll still get a cheap alloy engine mount, and have somebody to complain to if it did fail. Personally, I don't think it will.

Plastic ones are good, but flex. Some members are seriously trashing their gears when they've been bashing because of this.
