Hi everyone.


So after finding the standard plastic manifold was badly warped i decided to buy 2 Alloy manifolds. 1 for MT & 1 for DR.


I fitted 1 to my MT while i had the motor out putting outerwear covers on it.


I bolted it up, but some thing just didn't seem right. I looked like the manifold was not sitting flush up against the intake, when looking from underneath on the clutch side.


After removing it & trying again, me thinking the teflon gasket was not seating in the manifold correctly. I found what the issue was.


The top bolt screws right in & comes out the back. BUT the bottom bolt hole goes into the head & NOT right through.


The bottom bolt was bottoming out just before securing the manifold down tight.


I just added another flat washer under the bold head & NOW it pulls the manifold up tight.


Just thought i'd let everyone know this could happen.


If i had put the manifold on with the motor still in the car, then there is a fair chance i would not have noticed this.
