Hey guys. Just wanted to find out of the Ramp XT Alum Diff mount/Gearplate uses the same size bearings for the gears. My plastic gearplate just cracked around the middle bearing case. I'm assuming thats what preventing me from accelerating more than 5 miles/hr:mad: Think I'm gonna def go with the Alum gearplate. I saw some old threads with guys who have upgraded to it and they seem happy so I'm going to take the $ hit and get it. What do u guys think? Thanks.

Imminent....Would the alloy gear plate from the MT fit the XT? Is that a better Stronger part cuz of the bigger bearings? I ordered the XT alum gearplate but I'll change my order if that's case. Let me know thanks

MT plate fits fine Al. or plastic V2 and V3.

+1 on the MT/TT gearplate that uses bigger bearings, I'm running the plastic one and haven't had one single problem with it since.

Just want to make sure I don't have to change anything else to make it fit. I can use the same shafts, gears from my XT on this plate.

I only changed the gearplate and the bearings inside, nothing else :p

I ended up changing my order and getting the MT plastic gearplate from ebay and the bearings so I'm just waiting for it to get to me, so I can finally get up and running. How long(~tanks) have u guys ran the plastic gearplate?

Plenty enough between the people running them to give is a solid thumbs up. I think you'll be really happy, and have saved some major coin. Get some nice bearings. I was going to run the bearings from Avid with rubber on one side for dirt protection, but after running with my gear cover on no dust gets in. With that I picked up the best high RPM bearings they had. It's been great.

I'd go with the low cost option for now. Save you $$, DemonRC's two speed and belt drive are gonna be great.

Another annoying noob question, does anybody know what size or series# bearings I need to use the MT gear plate on the xt? I tried using the pdf manual on redcat's site but that isn't exactly easy to follow.
