Aluminum Cage?

Well in my opinion NO I don't know if you want to make your own cage but I made one out of 1/2 inch nylon rods. I purchased the rods from McMaster.com
 
They are a little stronger than the plastic version. They will bend in a bad rollover. I think they look nice and are inexpensive.
 
Before I made mine I used the aluminum one from redcat wasn't bad till I crashed bad and bent it pretty good but I straightened it and had it tigged together and it was fine
 
I prefer the plastic cage because it will flex. If you bent the aluminum cage you will just be left with a bent cage.
