What are the advantages? Weight? Stiffness?

Are they as durable as the stock plastic? The stock seem pretty durable and "give" some without breaking?

Its a personal choice.
Some parts - steering knuckles, suspension braces, shock mounts, engine mounts, gear mounts - can be sufficiently stronger to permit 'bashing' / racing where not considered with plastic parts.
Some parts are pure bling - arms for example are probably better a bit flexible - plastic / nylon, but LOOK much better in alloy. A big hit and the plastic might flex and return, or might break. The alloy might 'gash', nothing might happen, or it will bend.

Generally alloy is considered stronger than plastic, but adds weight so requires a suspension, transmission and engine rethink.
