I recently installed an angled shred stack and a HPI air filter to my MT. Since doing so it has been very hard to start cold. Before installation I would pull the cord slowly three to four times with no choke then pull hard once or twice and it would fire up every time all the time. Since the upgrade it just wont do it anymore. The first try after install I did my normal procedure and then pulled five times fast with no luck. I did finally get it to start after pulling the plug and letting it sit for like a half hour then new plug. I am so tempted to put the stock filter back on since I did not notice any power gain and the filter housing rotates around and hits the throttle linkage making me think the truck is malfunctioning when it wont accelerate properly. That is the two main reasons I got this setup. For power gain and angled stack to eliminate linkage obstruction. I don't use the choke because it seems to flood the engine and it used to start fine without. Anybody have similar issues?

Found a hairline crack in the plastic intake between carb and head. Fixed problem starts religiously now. I also put fabric hockey tape on the inside of the hpi air filter ring to really snug that thing up when installed so it won't rotate around through vibration and hit the throttle linkage. Been running great since...
