with my 1/5 scale together, it was time for some more upgrades to the crawler. after putting in the castle sidewinder i got for christmas it was working better than ever, however there were just some things that needed improvement. most recent mods
-axial high clearance knuckles
-strc c-hubs
-axial cvds
-robinson racing steel tranny idler gear (no output gear, everyone is out of stock)
-custom bta steering setup
i don't know how many hours of r&d and fabbing i have into this. i tried to mount the steering servo on the axle tube with bta, however i found that its impossible. in order to maximize the size of the battery pack i instead mounted the servo vertically. it seems to have worked out ok.
i also got tired of messy wiring and electronits mounted anywhere they fit, so i built a mounting plate. keeps the esc, receiver and bec in one spot and the wiring as clean as possible.
now i just need to get some lipos for it. have been running sub c, 4 front and 2 rear. worked ok, just made it heavy. the upside was the runtime though, 2+ hours.
specs
-integy extended tvps
-strc skid plate
-strc rear 4 link plate
-strc aluminum c hubs (front)
-axial high steer knuckles (front)
-custom bta

-hitec 645 servos
-integy 35t v11 motor
-castle sidewinder esc
-unknown bec
-losi shocks
