Any improvements in the stock gear materials

Hello - I'm thinking about getting the rampage buggy and I've been reading posts that some have chewed up their gears on their buggies. Is this still a problem or has the manufacturer improved the material?


Any other problems to know before-hand just so I'm prepared?

I seen a buggy today with a 26 cc in it running on factory set since new in June. I think the biggest issue is with the Monster Truck not the buggy, the huge tires strain the gears way more.


If you are wanting a buggy I think you will be fine. Unless you go up to a stroker crank motor then maybe Rob's new steel gears will be a must.

The aluminum gear plate solves most of the problems for the guys who bought them.

I just put a stroker engine in with the ali gearplate upgrade. Just waiting on my pipe. we'll see how they hold up.
