any one for a v8

The bad thing about them is they run off of nitro gas, and also i hear they don't hold a tune every well, I just think these engines are more of a novelty item than anything, don't get me wrong I would love to have one to pull out at the family BBQ and to show around but to uses it as a engine for the rampage would be pointless
 
Ive watched all the Youtube vids of them, there not made to be run for more than a couple of min at a time, people that have them don't run them like they would a nitro or gas one cylinder engine, there not made for a replacement engine for a UPGRADE, so yes they are a novelty item that works and are really cool, alot of work goes into them, You show me a vid of one bashing in the mud pits and on the sand dunes for 30 45min at a time, than i will not call it a novelty Item
 
Obviously They are a different kind of toy. I have seen a few On road RC Drag cars and Roadsters running these Who the hell in there right mind would wanna put one on a Rampage ! LOL


O and they RUN ON GASOLINE !!! Not Nitro They have Spark plugs and plug wires

I don't think they run on gas , there is a guy on Quaterscale, that has a lot out 1/4 scales cars and trucks but he never runs them , he has a corba with a conley V8 in it, and he said it run off of nitro , Im not sure but i think the spark plugs are only glow plugs, Ill try to fine the vid for ya, I hope Im wrong that would suck to have that bad ass v8 that runs on nitro but i think it does
 
the model above is a conley V8 that runs on 15% nitro, if they made more with different setups than more power to them that the way it should be, but the link i post clearly states 15% Nitromethane as the fuel used
 
Yep Any Gas engine will run on Nitro !! Try it in your weedeater It will run harder and cooler!!!!


I never said it did NOT run on nitro ! But they ARE 4 cycle engines Now maybe 4 years ago they made a nitro model buT Now they are TRUE SCALE V8 They will Run On Gasoline, Alcohol, Methanol, NITRO, ETC as would any REAL engine with the right set up

Lets just agree to disagree, but still the question lies that this engine is not suttable engine to buy to put in something to use as a racer or basher rc car or truck, this is why i call it a novilty item because for the money you could buy engines with way more HP and you could use to go bash or race with , to me the conley v8 is a shelf queen for the scale factor, like a work of art

I totally agree. I would bring one to the track, but as a conversation piece. even if it can manage to run as long as our motor can, $5K, I mean I don't know of too many people who would break the bank to get one of these. And I know a lot of them, most are commercial fisherman,where I live that means they're loaded and got money to burn. Showed this vid to a couple of them and they said " man, if you buy one of those, it will only prove one thing...you got more money than you got brain!" :D
 
lol I totally agree, If there giving them away I be more than happy to take it off there hands but to actually buy one would be retared. I just hope one day I can blow 5k on a model engine, but i don't see it happing any time soon , (any one want to give me 5k Just PM me) ;)

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. You'd probably turn blue before you see a penny of that 5K :D
 
Oh come on don't you know the world is ending on may 21 at 6pm 2011 have you not seen the billboards, its suppost to be the rapture, so someone could give me there money because there leaving , I know im not going anywhere so i could use there unwanted money lol
