Just put on a GP290 engine and a side dom pipe on my truck. I'm on the second tank now when I noticed that the engine starts to stutter especially when turning around and I have to rev it a little bit otherwise it will slowly die. So far the engine revs and iddles well when I put it on a stand, my needle sitting still the original factory sitting. I did'nt notice this trouble during the first tank because I was running the truck slowly back and forth in short distance. Now on the second tank I encreased the trottle and the distance a bit. After running about 5 minutes the engine starts to stutter and will die if I don't put gas in it. I noticed during this time that the fuel line was empty but the prime bulb is almost full, then a few minutes after the fuel is coming back in the line. I already pulled out the fuel line and the in tank filter and cleaned it, but did'nt solve the problem.
 
It only happens when turning left repeatedly? Mine do that same thing, I think its because when turning left after the fuel level lowers a bit that all the fuel transfers to the right side of the tank....oh wow run on sentence there :)


I wish there was an easy fix for it....I have yet to come up with anything.

I'm not sure if it happens on repeated left turns, but I think so because I usually turn on left.

Yup, I did bent my tank through the cap with a fuel line inserted in it, but I did'nt remove that amall rubber plug inside the cap on that plastic part under the rubber dome. Don't know if trying to remove it will solve the problem.
 
no that's a 813 walbro. I drilled a hole in the bottom of my tank. Passed fuel line through the hole. Hooked up my zen fuel clunk and pulled the slack so that it lay in the center of the tank. There is a sump there. drilled another for the return line. I used fuel line to plug the grommet. I can rip it up in turns as you can see in my videos.

Ok men, thanks for all of your informative suggestions. I'll try to figure it out on my truck so I can make the modefications.
