I finally got a pic. She laid her 15th egg this session yesterday and getting pretty tired of the whole hassle now. I picked up my vw body and bumped the chair she was sitting on and she gave me the evil stare... I grabbed the camera and tried to egg her on but she knew the flash was coming (this was second pic, first sucked

Nice pic Pipe :cool2: That is 1 big bird :) Whats the wing span on that? Looks like a good 3ft at least or is the camera angle deceiving?
 
haha just camera close.. a little over 12 inches. she acts tough but a big suck. I hand trained her. I can take a cockatiel bite, even up to a lovebird... anything larger and you are losing fingers hehe... I had a lovebird get my lip through a cage and pulling on it like dog tugging on a rope. he had a hole working right through my lip before I got the cage open. nearly twisted his neck off little bugger
 
I had a White Cockatoo latch onto my finger once,,,,,it was pain like I do not want ever again,,when I tried pulling it off,it's head came off it's body:oops:
 
The problem was,,,after it's head came off it still didn't let go ???

I had to use a big pair of circlip pliers to prise the the bloody beak open:no:

That was about 6 years ago & I still don't have any feeling in that finger.

LMAO I went to a friend's that had a macaw. big parrot. I walk in and see this thing on a couch, shredding it. pulling stuffing out and tossing it. having a blast... I see his face turning red man I still laugh... I was awed. the destruction was amazing
 
when i was a kid my mum used to rescue wildlife,she also kept a few birds of prey,buzzards,kestrels,hobby's,few barn & tawny owls even a eagle owl at 1 point theyre bit was bad,the talons,now they hurt even wit a gauntlet on they still hurt like hell lol
 
owls are my favourite, maybe because I am such a big Rush fan... well today was egg 16. I can't believe this. I need to get a male so we can raise some squawk monsters
 
some bird's are cool. I taught this one's dad to talk. he was smart. used to jam with me. if I did a blues progression in e or c he could whistle along in tune and had some cool chops... I miss that guy... males are smart, females lay eggs ;)

We have two Bernese Mountain dogs here. 8.5years old lady and 1 year old pup...young pup hasn´t got right screws in right places..Old lady is retired rescuedog and d*amn she is smart and clever.When i look at her when she is walking outside our home she like 8.5 years old puppy... ..
