Anyone Do Carbon Fiber?

I was thinking it'd be pretty tight to have my gear plate cover wrapped in some carbon fiber. Look pretty killer too.

Nope. Never had a problem.

Same here. Ive ran my X in dirt, gravel, sand, blacktop and gears still look brand new. Ditched the cover a long time ago.

I plan on using mine & putting some Lucas in it to see if I can bring that gear whine down at least a touch. The covers look flimsy. I'll just fiber glass it, sand it & paint it I guess. I already have that stuff. Just thot carbon fiber would look hot. Functionally, I want to make it more rigid.
