Is this a good Carb for me to use on my MT with 29cc head kit with 2mm stroked and 14 to 1. The venturi is bigger, this mean more fuel? Heard ups and Downs on 990 so looking for something different that's good.

The 257 actually has the same size venturi as a 990, so you really don't get any benefit there. From what I've read, the top end seems to be the same as a 990, but it'll hit harder off the line. But then again, that could be the result of a couple of different factors, like what engine it's on, clutch spring RPM and tuning skill. Really, it's just personal preference. Most engine builders recommend the 990.

I had 813 and kept flooding engine. I just need more input for the engine. It is a 29cc head kit 2mm stroke and 14 to 1 running 112 octane. Its a screamer on the 668 so can I get better with the 990?
