I have them, thought id try em out when I placed a rather large order from them. Personally I think they have little effect on the protection of the diff cup. If they were thicker and made out of something other than luminum then theyd be alot better.
 
I have some of those as well I use them for pin keepers they work real well for that purpose. Right now I just have them on the carrier bearing and front diff on my Dune Runner. They preformed well when I went bashing last Sunday
 
I have them too, i have the V2 dogbones with set screws holding the pins in, so I had to grind down the pins a bit for them to fit perfect.
 
I have them on my TT & they work well. They brace the drive cups, but mainly they keep the pins from falling out. Another advantage is that they will allow use of the HPI dogbone boots or similar design.
